Instead of running ongoing club competitions, the Glasgow Gateway Curling Club (GGCC) sessions combine both coaching and friendly games to help new, inexperienced players gain confidence on the ice and improve their curling skills. All players are encouraged to try and play in all positions from lead to skip to help prepare you to join a regular club.
The GGCC also enter teams to compete in competitions with other Gateway Clubs, as well as playing friendly matches against regular curling clubs throughout the season. All GGCC members are given an opportunity to participate in these competitions and friendly matches.
Members also get the opportunity if they want, to "sub" for other mainstream clubs. This allows them to help choose their future mainstream club.
